Boy, I really can't keep up with this can I?

The lowdown is as follows:
John and I are in one word; Amazing!

Madison is an eager to learn 3 year old. She amazes me with the things she catches on to. No spelling things out anymore, she knows what I am saying!

Claire is almost done with 1st grade and quickly caught on to reading in her AR groups at school. She won CARE awards 3 times this year!

Caitlin hit double digits in April! She is growing way too fast, I miss the cuddling days!
John and I were finally able to experience Hawaii together! We had a blast. It was nice to have some alone time and rekindle... well you know!

It's been awhile!

I have so dearly missed everyone! Wow, so much has happened the last 2 years! Maddy is in terrible twos mode! She loves to test her sisters, and her mom too. She is working on her potty training, and is stubborn and has decided to make it more difficult than her sisters were.

Claire entered Kindergarten with fear, but blossomed into this amazing girl! She is eager to learn. We were told at all her conferences this year that she was the most well behaved girl in the class.(are they talking about my Claire?)

Caitlin is beyond amazing. She is so smart. I find myself in awe in things that she says. I like to think she has an old soul. She is growing so fast and it makes me incredibly sad!

John and I will celebrate 7 years in a month, time sure does fly. Makes me feel so old.

Halloween Fun!

The girls picking out a pumpkin!
Twins

We had a blast on Halloween! Claire was a witch, Maddy was a pumpkin and Caitlin was some kind of USA diva. We went around the neighborhood and trick or treated. The girls were so polite with their pleases and thank yous. I was impressed on how well they made out with the candy too! Danielle is still on medical leave so she tagged along, of course getting her choice of the goodies at the end of the night! All in all I was happy to just spend time with my kiddos and I think enjoyed hanging out with their "old" mom too!

Best of luck!

On October 10th my bff Danielle will be getting a Kidney transplant! I am so nervous for her and wish it were just over with so the anticipation and this just complete and utter sickness in my stomach could go away! I have always prided myself on being a good friend and being able to handle just about every situation, but this just breaks my heart. She is such a kindhearted person and should never had to endure the pain and sickness she has had. I wish all the Best of luck and will be there when she is allowed to have visitors again!

Caitlin's recovery

So it has been a long 2 1/2 weeks since Caitlin broke her wrist. She seems to be adjusting to the cast fine, but the writing with the left hand is another thing! She almost has it down though. The worst thing now is taking a bath. She has to wear a bread bag over her hand. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get her hand clean and how to get rid of the stench let me know. She only has like 3 more weeks then she can return to being the "Monkey Bars" queen. With time she may feel safe enough to climb a tree again, but my advice would be to just stay at eye level and no higher!

Family Vacay

We took the whole family to Leavenworth and Wenatchee for a short vacay to celebrate our wedding anniversary this last weekend and had a blast! We stayed at The Holiday Inn in a Jacuzzi suite. The space was just perfect for the 5 of us. There was actually a jacuzzi tub in the middle of the room, our own personal "hot tub" is what John called it. The girls swam, shopped and ate while John and I just enjoyed the time away from home. John bought me a framed Thomas Kinkade portrait, which I have wanted for a long time. It has been a while since all 5 of us have spent that much time together, it was nice. Made us appreciate how special even the smallest amount of time together is. We just all together had a good time. If you are ever given the chance to visit Leavenworth, Wa, I recommend a small outside spot called Munchen Haus. It's an outside place where you can get the best bratwurst, sour kraut and German Beer. Also during the hot summer days there is a fine mist of water that sprinkles while you drink your beer, it's great!

Madison has two teeth!

Ok, so it doesn't sound as exciting to most people. I can't believe how fast she is growing, two teeth already! They are at this point just like little vampire teeth, sharp as can be. Her little smile is now so cute, minus the drool that has a problem staying in her mouth. Now those biter biscuits are no challenge for her. She's ready to move on to something more challenging. No toy is safe either! Don't leave anything around Maddy that you don't want sopping wet. She loves to bite and chew on things, maybe another tooth???
